Add Modules to the loop diagrams

Next phase is to add position, operation, and event modules into the earlier made loop diagrams. These are needed for information exchange between an operation display and the loop diagrams. The modules shall be chosen according to the main function block in the loop. For example in motor controls, mgv modules shall be added , for an analog measurement add am module, etc.

Shut-off valve
  • choose the menu Modules/Position and mgv
  • add the position module above the valve control function mgv (figure 1)
  • from the parameters, change Control room identifier A1 -> G1 which is the name of our control room. Do not use gedit function for this short strings.
    TAG_CODE can be changed later on by gedit. The other parameters can stay in their defaults, see the figure 2.
  • choose the menu Modules/Operation and mgv
  • drop the operation module next to the position module
  • change Control room identifier A1 -> G1
  • choose the menu Modules/Event and mgv
  • drop the operation module next to the Operation module
  • change Control room identifier A1 -> G1
  • change Alarm Area (1-64) -> 2
  • the last step is to change TAG_CODEs to the same position tag you use in the main function block. Use the gedit function.

Analog measurements

Do the same steps as described above but use the am modules.

In addition to this, add also measurement range and unit. The alarms can be switch on or off (1 or 0) as well.

mtr and pid

Do the same steps as for the mgv.
