Professional Teacher Education, Open UAS 2026
During the course, you will engage with educational thinking, particularly from the perspective of developmental psychology. You will examine learning as a phenomenon across different stages of life and deepen your understanding of the role of the teacher as a facilitator of learning.
The course combines theoretical knowledge, personal reflection, and peer interaction. Throughout the course, you will develop your pedagogical thinking and your professional identity as a teacher.
The work is based on a course book, contemporary materials, and both your own and others’ experiences of learning. The course is part of the basic studies in educational sciences.
Learning tasks:
Task 1: Initial survey
Task 2: Educational psychology concepts (1 cr)
Task 3: Learning in the light of educational knowledge (1.5 cr)
Task 4: Adult and adolescence learners (2 cr)
Task 5: Reflective self-assessment (0.5 cr)
