Welcome to the course! Approach to Cultural tourism introduces you to the concept of cultural tourism. Since you are in Finland now, you will also get an insight into cultural tourism in Finland as well as its operational environment. Where culture and tourism meet, there will be inspiring and fruitful encounters. In sum, culture is a pull factor for tourism!
During the course, tourism students will get an insight into the mindset of arts and culture; while culture management students will familiarize themselves with the tourism industry and its actors. Thus, the tourism ecosystem will be examined from the perspective of cultural tourism.
The objective is to gain an understanding for the basic phenomena in cultural tourism as well as to recognize the prospects and resources offered by cultural tourism.
